ROLE DESCRIPTIONS:

8 x Walking Leaders – the Walking Leader is responsible for a walking group throughout the week. Needs to hold a T2 permit suitable for the Lochearnhead area.

8 x Assistant Walking Leaders – leaders who may already hold a T2 (but prefer to be an assistant leader) permit or are actively working towards one. Or may have a lower-level permit or a restricted permit and wish to continue to expand their skills and group work. Will be allocated to a walking group for the whole week.

Both the Walking Leader & Assistant Walking Leader are expected to be capable of walking with a group in the Scottish mountains every day throughout the week (up to 10 miles/8hrs each day) so need a good level of fitness.

3-5 x General Assistants – GAs are the glue in making the week run as smoothly as possible. Working as a small team they will be assisting the catering team and sorting out / supervising the packed lunch making each morning, checking the site (e.g. do any toilet rolls need topping up), potentially driving mini-buses and running errands. This will be leader who might wish to be out on the hills with one of the groups for a couple of days but is also happy to just come and assist in making the week work. Ideal (but not essential) qualities for a GA are minibus permit, local knowledge of area / experience of Lochearnhead but more than anything, a willingness to help and get involved to make the course a success!

·        Deputy Catering staff x 2 (must have experience of mass catering and relevant Hygiene / Food Safety certificates)
