Climbing Hillwalking and Mountaineering Training and Assessment Weekend
This weekend is for any leaders requiring training for a Terrain 1 or Terrain 2 Adventurous Activity Permit. Including navigation, group management, risk assessment, weather and emergency procedures. Assessment for T1 (only due to terrain) will also be available.
Ideal for any leaders considering taking young people to Lochearnhead.
Training and assessment for climbing is also available.
Natural Rock-Climbing training for people who want to work towards a permit.
For anyone who currently holds a permit this is a great opportunity to learn new skills including advanced rigging, problem avoidance and solving / trouble shooting.
If anyone is ready for an assessment or currently has a restricted permit this is also an opportunity to review restrictions and possibly have them removed.

Whiteley Woods Outdoor Activity Centre, Common Lane, Sheffield, S11 7TG
Spaces are limited to allocated on first come first served basis.
Food and accommodation included BUT transport not included, please make your own travel arrangements.

Electronic health forms to follow two weeks prior to the event.
A logbook or some form of record that evidences your experience must be emailed to dawnroyall@hertfordshirescouts.org.uk for hillwalking or colin.skuse@hertfordshsirescouts.org.uk for climbing by 1st September at the latest. If a logbook is not received by this date, we will assume you do not have a logbook and allocate you to a training group. |
